Following an amazing response last year, the GreenCrafts Village returns to All Together Now offering fantastic hands-on workshop choices.
Ever wanted to Learn wood carving? Try forging with a blacksmith? Use fresh-flowers for your own head-dress? Learn about cob and lime work? Weave? Throw clay? Or try loads-more hands-on craft stuff? Then the GreenCrafts Village is your must-do place. There’s loads of have-a-go activities for free and making workshops all day, all weekend. You can create beautiful things from natural materials, to take home; and all in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Example workshops this year include making copper and hot glass jewellery, spa bath-bombs, carved wooden spoons and walking sticks, flower garland head- pieces, woven scarves, leatherwork, willow baskets and garden decos (plus loads more). Traditional tools are used and you can work inside beautiful covered spaces. You can always have-a-go for free.
Located near the Shell House and band-stand in a beautiful tree-lined area. Look out for the entrance arch. We’re open Friday at 5pm, then Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm. Beginners are welcome and accompanied kids. Some activities take less than an hour, others longer, but it’s up to you how long you spend.
  • There’s no need to book workshops, call-by and join in straight away, or arrange a place with craft groups
  • A small charge is made for materials for things you take away
  • Beginners and more experienced welcome
  • The area’s lovely and you’re welcome to come hang out and relax in the open seating and enjoy the re-energizing buzz
As well as the area being a fun, friendly, skill share experience, GreenCrafts is also ATN’s leading “Off-Grid” zone. Pioneering sustainable and ethical making, there’s no generators or mains electric used, making it a lovely, healthy, relaxing alternative space, powered by clean
green energy, the sun and people! A hard feat at a festival, but a leading example of how we can all tread lighter on the land. Natural Irish materials are used, sustainably grown and sourced, and the village showcases how we might live a more genuinely environmentally
stable life, in a real and practical way.
GreenCrafts loves All Together Now and welcomes everyone to join them in exchanging skills and knowledge of materials, sustainability and green living while making beautiful souvenirs to take home; also importantly to have fun, relax and recharge as part of this beautiful event.
