Renowned Greencrafts is a vibrant community of rural skill makers creating stunning ‘material things’, with close respect for our natural world.

20 of Ireland’s arguably best rural craft crews have gathered to offer all-day ‘making’ workshops in basketry, blacksmithing, ceramics, copper-work, cosmetics, furniture, garlands, jewellery, textiles and wood. Fun and relaxing; there’s no need to book, just drop-by, and ‘having a go’ is free.

Located in a bewitching tree lined spot, each maker brings their own little sheltered workspace. There’s plenty of seats to chill and relax, and as the festival’s leading “off-grid” area, pioneering sustainable and ethical making, GreenCrafts is a haven of calm creation and reinvigorating fun. The welcome’s mighty, for both complete beginners and those more experienced.

* Open 10am to 6pm, Friday – Sunday.

* Children taking part in workshops must be accompanied by an adult.

* Arrange directly with each craft group; small materials charge applies.

We’re really looking forward to being a part of this great new event.
