The Belonging Bandstand designed by multi-award winning creator Morag Myerscough especially for All Together Now, will return to the festival with a line-up that features SING ALONG SOCIAL, NENEH CHERRY (DJ Set), NEW YORK BRASS BAND, BOOKA BRASS, MAROON TOWN, GLASSHOUSE PERFORMING HOLOCENE (Music of Bon Iver), plus so much more festival fun!
Designer Morag Myerscough’s mantra is ‘make happy those who are near and those who are far will come’. Born and bred in London, Morag has always lived in the city and has been fascinated by how colour and pattern can change brutal urban environments and people’s perceptions of spaces into places. Morag is known around the world for her distinct approach making large scaffold structures adorned with neon geometric patterns and shapes often incorporating positive messaging hand painted onto plywood.
Morag’s work is characterised by an engaging boldness, creating specific, local responses to each distinct audience that will see and experience the work, using it to create community and build identity. Morag is obsessed with ‘Belonging’ and talks around the world about it.
The Belonging Bandstand is brought to life at All Together Now with the help of skilled hand, Fergus McCloskey of MG Developments, who has built the bandstand from the ground up.
